Healing of Peter’s Mother-in-Law

Matthew 8:14–15; Mark 1:29–31; Luke 4:38–39

^{Mk 1:29–31}As soon as they left the synagogue, they went into Simon and Andrew’s house with James and John. ³⁰Simon’s mother-in-law was lying in bed with a fever, and they told Him about her at once. ³¹So He went to her, took her by the hand, and raised her up. The fever left her, and she began to serve them.

Healing of Many People in Capernaum

^{Lk 4:40a}When the sun was setting, all those who had anyone sick with various diseases brought them to Him. ^{Mk 1:33}The whole town was assembled at the door. ^{Lk 4:40b}As He laid His hands on each one of them, He would heal them. ^{Mt 8:17}So that what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled: “He Himself took our weaknesses and carried our diseases.” ^{Lk 4:41}Also, demons were coming out of many, shouting and saying, “You are the Son of God!” But He rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew He was the Messiah.
