Preparations Made for the Memorial Supper

Matthew 26:17–19; Mark 14:12–16; Luke 22:7–13

Mt 26:17aOn the first day of Unleavened Bread, Lk 22:7bon which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed, Mt 26:17bthe disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do You want us to prepare the Passover so You may eat it?”

Lk 22:10–11a“Listen,” He said to them, “when you’ve entered the city, a man carrying a water jug will meet you. Follow him into the house that he enters. 11aTell the owner of the house, Mt 26:18b‘My time is near. Lk 22:11bWhere is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with My disciples?’ Mk 14:15He will show you a large room upstairs, furnished and ready. Make the preparations for us there.”

Mk 14:16So the disciples went out, entered the city, and found it just as He had told them, and they prepared the Passover.[1]

The Last Supper on @YouVersion.: At the Feast of Unleavened Bread, Jesus eats the Passover meal with his 12 disciples. Using the dinner bread and wine, he teaches about giving his body and blood as a sacrifice. He announces one will betray him and they argue about who it could be.
